In MPL-p Type capacitive microphones of equal sound transfer frequency characteristics, very good front-back damping and low noise level there has been used a membrane of a diameter of 20 mm covered with gold and installed in a brass casing covered with matt chrome and placed on a base made of polymethyl methacrylate (plexiglas). The microphones are equipped with a 5-metre wire terminated with an XLR plug. The principle of operation of such a microphone is based on reflecting the sound from a round plexiglas base to a microphone capsule. Application: in churches as an altar microphone.
